The Wind That Lifts Us

There are moments in life when it feels like everything is working against you.

Plans fall apart.
People disappoint you.
Relationships shift.
The timing feels unfair.
The weight on your heart becomes harder to carry.

At times, it can feel as though life itself is pushing back, as if every step forward is met with another obstacle.

But then I am reminded of something so simple, yet so profound:

An airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.

The very force that seems to resist it is the same force that gives it lift.

Life can feel much the same.

Not every challenge is sent to break you.
Not every disappointment is a sign that you are on the wrong path.
Not every painful moment means something is falling apart.

Sometimes, it means something greater is coming together.

Sometimes the struggles in our careers are shaping our resilience.

Sometimes the heartbreak in our relationships is teaching us how to love with more depth, patience, and understanding.

Sometimes the silence from people we care about is teaching us the value of communication, boundaries, and self-worth.

And sometimes the things we thought were working against us are quietly preparing us for the next version of ourselves.

Growth is rarely born in comfort.

It comes through the sleepless nights, the difficult conversations, the tears no one sees, and the moments when you have to choose hope even when your heart feels tired.

Relationships, too, often mirror this truth.

Not every disagreement is the end.
Not every misunderstanding is meant to destroy a bond.

Sometimes the winds in our personal connections, with a partner, family, friends, or even ourselves, are there to teach us how to rise with more compassion and grace.

Love is not only built in laughter and ease.

It is also built in patience, forgiveness, and choosing to stay present through the storm.

The same is true for life.

The resistance you feel today may be building the strength you will need tomorrow.

The pain may be creating wisdom.

The delay may be creating timing.

The heartbreak may be creating healing.

One day, you may look back at this season and realize that what felt like opposition was actually preparation.

The winds were never there to stop you.

They were there to lift you.

So, when everything seems to be going against you, hold on.

Trust that some of what feels heavy right now is not punishment.

It is preparation.

For growth.
For healing.
For love.
For purpose.
For the version of you that is about to rise.

Love & Peace!🫶✌️☮
